Nizar Dahmani began his career as a drummer in his home country of Morocco in a city called Safi at the age of 10 years old 

He grew up between two worlds: his country’s traditional music and new sounds musicians and styles from international rhythms. 

 

He is a self taught drummer whose passion to learn drives him to reach ever growing audiences in the US, Europe and Arab World of music lovers and musicians alike. Given his broad base of knowledge in traditional Arab rhythms, Nizar is frequently invited to collaborate with musicians from Morocco, Lebanon, Israel and around the world. 

He has been invited to tour with musicians in France, UK, africa, the Middle East, Canada and throughout the US.  Nizar is a seasoned stage musician, he has preformed alongside many artists in festivals.  SUCH AS

 

Since Nizar moved to the USA in 2019,  he has continued to evolve both as a performer and teacher.  

The self-taught artist quickly developed a unique style of combining all the rhythms that influenced him since the beginning. He is able to make teach both native Arabic speakers and non natives to connect with the rhythms of his drums.

He has been invited to teach workshops and master classes at universities such as NYU and Bronx Community College, encouraging students and giving them the proper guidance on how to start a drumming career. His online video tutorials have thousands of views.
